What same-day covers
- Same-day and next-day pickups across Kitchener and the townships
- A real two-hour arrival window, not an all-day wait
- Single items to full-truck cleanouts
- A live person on the phone, not a booking queue
- Price locked before we load, no rush surcharge
Call in the morning, gone in the afternoon
Most days, if you call in the morning there is a good chance we clear it that afternoon. You get a two-hour arrival window and a real person who can tell you honestly whether today is possible or whether it is first thing tomorrow, instead of a vague all-day promise.
The reason people need same-day is rarely tidy: a real-estate closing that requires an empty house, a tenant arriving to a unit that is not clear, an inspection, a bin that never came. We build the schedule to absorb those.
Same-day bulky item pickup
The Region's bulky item collection runs once a month, on a set day, for up to three items from a single-family home, each under 200 lb, according to its bulky items page. That is fine when you can wait. When the old couch has to be gone before the new one is delivered, or the item is a piano, a hot tub or a fourth piece of furniture, the monthly day does not help. A same-day bulky item pickup from us is the same single-item price as any other day, $90 to $150, and heavy items like a fridge or a sleeper sofa do not cost more.
Same-day junk removal for a move
A move is the classic reason people need it today rather than next week. The mover takes what is going to the new place; whatever is left in the garage, the basement and the curb pile on closing day is the problem. Book us for the afternoon after the movers leave, or the morning of the walkthrough, and we take everything that is not making the trip. Tenants handing back keys, sellers before a closing and landlords between tenants all run on the same kind of deadline. For whole units, see move-out cleanouts.
Can anyone guarantee same-day arrival?
Be wary of anyone who promises it without asking what you have. Same-day depends on the time you call, the size of the job and where the crews already are. What we promise is an honest answer on the phone: yes, today between these two hours, or no, first thing tomorrow. If we give you a window, we hold it. If we cannot make today, we tell you then, not at four in the afternoon.
New Hamburg, Elmira and the townships
Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge are the easiest same-day areas. New Hamburg, Baden, Elmira, St. Jacobs, Ayr and Breslau are usually next-day, and sometimes same-day when a crew is already working nearby. The price is the same published rate; there is no charge for the drive. Call with the address and we tell you which day it will be.
Same price as any other day
Same-day does not mean a premium. The price is the same volume-based number as any other day, locked in writing before we load, with no rush surcharge. Urgency should not cost you extra; it should just move you up the schedule.
Getting rid of it in Kitchener and Waterloo Region
The Region's own options do not move fast: bulky-item collection is once a month on a set day, and a self-haul run is limited to the resident hours of the Region of Waterloo drop-off sites at 925 Erb Street West in Waterloo and 201 Savage Drive in Cambridge, Monday to Saturday, with a $15 minimum per load and mixed, unsorted loads billed at the highest rate. When the deadline is tomorrow, neither helps. A hauler that answers the phone and holds a two-hour window is the difference between making the closing and missing it.
What same-day junk removal costs in Kitchener
Same-day is priced exactly like any other day: by the truck space your junk fills, locked before we load. There is no urgency premium. The earlier you call the better the odds of a same-day slot, but the number does not change because you needed it fast.
| Truck space | What it holds | Typical all-in price |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum / single item | A couch, a fridge, a mattress | $90 to $150 |
| 1/4 truck | A small room or a few big items | $200 to $300 |
| 1/2 truck | A garage or a bedroom set | $320 to $450 |
| 3/4 truck | A basement or a small cleanout | $450 to $600 |
| Full truck | A whole-home or estate cleanout | $550 to $750 |

Frequently asked questions
Can you really come the same day in Kitchener?
Most days, yes. Call in the morning and there is a good chance we clear it that afternoon, with a real two-hour arrival window.
Do you charge extra for same-day service?
No. Same-day is priced the same as any other day, by volume, with no rush surcharge.
How late can I book for same day?
The earlier the better, but call and we will tell you honestly whether we can still fit you in today or first thing tomorrow.
Can you do a same-day full cleanout, not just one item?
Yes, from a single item to a full truck, subject to crew availability, and we confirm the price before we start.
Can you make a real-estate closing deadline?
That is one of the most common reasons people call us. Give us the date and address and we schedule the clear so the house is empty in time.
Do you serve the townships same-day too?
Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge are easiest same-day; Elmira, New Hamburg, Ayr and the townships are usually next-day. Call and ask.
Do you do junk removal in New Hamburg?
Yes, at the same published prices as Kitchener. New Hamburg pickups are usually next-day, and same-day when a crew is already nearby.
Is there a same-day bulky item pickup?
Yes. The Region collects bulky items only once a month, up to three items for a house. We pick up a single bulky item the same day for $90 to $150, including items over the Region's 200 lb limit.
Can you guarantee same-day arrival?
No honest company can before hearing what you have and when you are calling. We tell you on the phone whether today is possible and give a two-hour window we hold, or we book you first thing tomorrow.
Who can I call for same-day couch removal?
Us. A single couch runs $90 to $150 and two together $200 to $300, carried out from any room. Call in the morning for the best chance of an afternoon pickup.
