Posts are the hard part, and they're ours
Panels come down fast; the posts are the job. Wood and steel posts set in concrete have to be dug or pulled, and the concrete collar comes with them. We do that work, so you are not renting a post puller and fighting a footing that will not budge.
If a new fence is going in on the same line, we can leave the holes clean and clear for the installer. If not, we backfill roughly so there are no open holes in the yard.
Fence removal in Cambridge

- How the posts are set. Posts driven into soil pull quickly. Posts set in concrete come out with a collar of concrete on each one, and that is both work and weight.
- Material. Wood and vinyl are bulky but light. Chain-link rolls up compactly once the fabric is cut from the posts. Old wood fencing soaked by years of weather is heavier than it looks.
- Access. A fence along an open side yard is quicker than one behind a garden, a pool or a shed.

Wood, metal and vinyl each go to a different stream. We separate them on the load rather than throwing a mixed pile, which is both the right thing and cheaper at the scale.
